This site keeps the full apparatus: every character opened to its pictographic roots, every line held as close to the images as English will allow. The book is the reading edition — the same text in plainer, unhurried English, the character work pared to what each verse needs to stand on its own. The site is where you study the roots. The book is where you read: a cup of tea in hand, the pace your own, in easy conversation with the words.
